Carolyn Carrol is running as a Democratic candidate for the NY State Assembly 134th District which is comprised of the towns of Greece, Ogden, and Parma in Western Monroe County.
Peter Lawrence, is the current Republican who assumed office on January 1, 2015 and Lawrence’s current term ends on December 31, 2020. Lawrence has decided not to seek re-election. In 2014, Assembly man Bill Reilich opted not to seek re-election, and Lawrence was nominated by Republicans to replace him.
Carrol is a native of Monroe County and currently resides in Greece, NY with her family. Carrol is employed as a Fraud Investigator with Monroe County Department of Human Services and received her Bachelors of Science Degree from Virginia State University. Carrol would like to bring positive change to healthcare, education, property taxes, jobs and the justice systems that have been key issues to the County.
The primary is scheduled for June 23, 2020 with the general election being held on November 3, 2020.
